Empowering Women Veterans

We are very aware that Women Veterans have unique issues when reintegrating back home. The Respite has developed a special 4-month program for these women and are now recruiting 6 participants for a pilot program. Our goal is to run the program August - November 2013. If you are a female veteran, or know of one who would benefit from services that include counseling, massage, yoga, SoulCollage® and community support please complete our online application.

Hope Back Home Program Details
Each participant that is chosen will be required to attend and make use of the following services that are offered at the suggested donation level. Limited scholarships are available for those who cannot afford the donation. Full commitment to this program is required in order to provide the greatest potential for impact and empowerment.

Structure:
Pilot program will run for 4 months from August - November, 2013

Services & Schedule:
Hope Community - led by Mandy Eppley, LPC and various presenters
These meetings will be held once a month on a Wednesday from 12-1:30pm. They will include a time for group sharing as well as special presentations about pertinent topics (i.e. resume writing, social interaction, etc).
Suggested donation: $5 per meeting

Counseling - Mandy Eppley, LPC
A licensed professional counselor for over 20 years, these one-on-one sessions will be scheduled twice each month.
Suggested donation: $20 per session

Transformational Yoga - Jillian Longsworth
A certified Yoga Warrior International Teacher, with specialized yoga training for war veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, this class will be offered twice a month on Thursday evenings.
Suggested donation: $5 per class

Massage - Aimee Taylor
A licensed massage therapist for over 5 years, Aimee specializes in Grief Massage. This will be offered during the 1st and 3rd months of the program and will be scheduled individually once per month.
Suggested donation: $20 per session

SoulCollage® - Cindy Ballaro
A SoulCollage® Facilitator for over 2 years, this creative process is a gentle, playful and often joyful way of exploring your life and your deep self. It requires no special artistic training or skills. This will be offered during the 2nd and 4th months of the program at a time to be determined once per month.
Suggested donation: $5 per class

Selection Process for HBH Pilot Program

If you are a female veteran wishing to apply for the pilot progam please complete our online application.

As we receive the applications phone screenings will be conducted.

By July, select individuals will be chosen for personal interviews.

All applicants will be notified of the final selection of 6 women by July 15, 2013.
